The 100 Richest Internet Billionaires 2026
Who are the richest internet billionaires in 2026? Elon Musk tops our list at $878.5 billion, followed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ($366 billion) and Google co-founders Larry Page ($232.3 billion) and Sergey Brin ($213.9 billion). Mark Zuckerberg completes the top five on $208.6 billion.
This is IncomeDiary’s 2026 update of our rich list of the 100 wealthiest people whose fortunes came from the internet. Since our 2025 list, the biggest change is the arrival of artificial intelligence money: OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek and the companies that supply them have created a new wave of internet billionaires, while crypto fortunes have soared too.
All net worths are Forbes real-time estimates as of 3 November 2026. They move every day with share prices, so treat them as a snapshot.
Who Counts as an Internet Billionaire?
We include people whose wealth comes mainly from businesses that live online: search engines, social networks, e-commerce, online payments and fintech apps, online games, streaming, cloud software, crypto exchanges and AI labs. Early investors who made their fortunes backing internet companies, such as Peter Thiel and Yuri Milner, are in too.
Elon Musk is a judgement call. Most of his wealth today is Tesla and SpaceX, but he made his first fortune online with Zip2 and PayPal, owns X (formerly Twitter) and founded the AI company xAI. Some of the world’s richest tech names are deliberately left out because their fortunes came from computer hardware, chips or traditional software rather than the internet: Larry Ellison (Oracle), Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Michael Dell, Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer (Microsoft).
The 10 Richest Internet Billionaires in 2026
1. Elon Musk: Zip2, PayPal (X.com), X, xAI, worth $878.5 billion
Age: 55 | Country: United States
Elon co-founded the online city-guide company Zip2, which Compaq bought for about $307 million in 1999. He then founded X.com, which merged with Confinity to become PayPal, and eBay bought PayPal for $1.5 billion in 2002. He bought Twitter for $44 billion in 2022, renamed it X, and founded xAI, the maker of the Grok chatbot, in 2023. Most of his fortune today comes from Tesla and SpaceX, whose Starlink satellite network is now one of the world’s biggest internet providers.
2. Jeff Bezos: Amazon, worth $366 billion

What’s Changed Since 2025
- AI has minted a new class of internet billionaires. Seven Anthropic co-founders, including Dario and Daniela Amodei, are each worth around $13 billion to $14 billion. OpenAI’s Greg Brockman ($25.5 billion), Surge AI’s Edwin Chen ($18 billion) and DeepSeek’s Liang Wenfeng ($46.3 billion) are all new to the list.
- Crypto is back in a big way. Binance’s Changpeng Zhao is sixth, and four people behind the stablecoin Tether are in our top 25.
- The giants got much richer. Jeff Bezos rose from $210 billion on our 2025 list to $366 billion, and Sergey Brin from $136.6 billion to $213.9 billion.
- Some familiar names have slipped. Snapchat’s Evan Spiegel fell from $4 billion to about $2.2 billion, and Rakuten’s Hiroshi Mikitani from $6.1 billion to about $3 billion, which pushes both out of the top 100.
