    Hello Everyone.

Here's your chance to ask me anything! (in reason...)

    A little about me:

Came online in 2005 when I created ShoutGFX.com a graphics forum. Grew to over 1000 members and 65,000 posts in 6 months. After 6 months, a completing website hacked my forum because of the growth we were experiencing. That guy no longer does online marketing, guess I won that one ;-)

In 2006 I created WebDesignDev.com, over 4 years, we grew to nearly 200,000 monthly visitors and I sold the site for $22,000 so that I could move out of my parents place.

In 2007, I launched Retireat21.com for two reasons. I got banned from Google Adsense on WebDesignDev.com and I wanted to create an online community for young entrepreneurs. I have interviewed several of the top 100 website founders and management.

In 2009, I launched IncomeDiary.com, earning $5,000 in my first month and reached 100,000 visitors.

In 2010, I came up with the idea for PopupDomination.com, after seeing the great results, I teamed up with the developer who helped me create it and we launched it 11 days later as a Wordpress Plugin. Since then, we have sold over 20,000 copies and would be responsible for millions of additional email subscribers (and most likely annoying a few people ;-) )!

I moved to Southampton UK in Febuary 2010.

In 2011, I began work on Fiked.com - a social network and community for things to do before you die. Although semi finished, this still hasn't had my full attention.

In 2012, I will be launching my coolest project yet!

Over the past few years, I have managed to work as little as 10 minutes a week. Although at times I've worked a lot harder.

    Thanks,

    Ask me anything!

    Michael

PS. I will keep this question and answer open indefinitely!

    Hello Michael.

Which is your mode to choose the niche for a new project? Because all of your sites thrive.
What tips you have for a guy who wants to build a website to earn money?

    Hello
Thanks for being open and willing to help. So, my question deals with a new blog. I have tried this before and always shared my blog with my social fiends. I now have a blog, but I don't want to push it on my friends since I have done that in the past. How can I get traffic from social media without bugging my friends? I don't want to build a blog blasting it on my wall or bugging people.

    Thanks!

    Great question!

Firstly, it's very important you know something about the niche or, have a real passion for it. Secondly, there has to be a large audience who share that same passion you do.

If you want to make a lot of money and build big sites, blog about things people are reliant on. For example, health, fitness and money. Everyone wants to feel health, look great and have lot's of money. People love great looking cars, but they are not going to pay in the masses to find out inside information about them. For health, fitness and money it's different. If people think they will get their health back because of an ebook, they will pay what ever their health is worth. If they think an ebook will make them $1000, they can afford to spend $100 buying it. You see what I'm saying? Make sure the subject of your blog has a clear return on investment, then people will spend money with you all day long!

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Em,

You are thinking the wrong way about it. It's not about begging friends or trying to convince people to visit your site. It's all about creating the best possible content, content that answers a question and giving it away for free. Do that and people will come, search engines will rank you well and your content will get shared on social media without any effort from yourself.

    Thanks,

    Michael

This forum is run using Vbulletin forum software. It costs around $300 - $400 depending on which package you take. If you want a good free option, you can use this Wordpress plugin: http://bbpress.org/

    Hello Michael,

How can I advertise with you?

    Hi Michael

What happened to the ecourse on setting up your blog? I found you through various mentions of that on the internet and came to this page - http://www.incomediary.com/create-a-profitable-blog

But it doesn't seem to want to let me sign up.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for getting to me. Since I last posted here, I have placed several of my posts on FB. Most are Christians or preachers. They actually like the posts and podcast I started. I never realized people wanted to hear from me. By the Grace of God, I have been able to impact quite a few Christians from my preaching in their churches. They have asked if I record me sermons. Now that I have a podcast and share my heart on my blog, they are able to follow along and grow as I grow in my Bible teaching. They don't mind my posts on FB.

    Thanks for your input.

I do have another question. I have a high New Visitor rate and a high bounce rate. Are the "New Visitors" really returning visitors that have dynamic IPs, so Google Analytics thinks they are new?

My question really is, how do I get visitors to return and not bounce?

    Thanks!
