As Michael says "Content Is King!"

As some of you may have seen, Michael is always saying that content is king. It may seem obvious as why would people return to a site with nothing new to read, but it is always nice to see the proof in the pudding.

Last week I launched Trance Tuesday on my blog, which a concept rather like Follow Friday, after that I sat back all excited about the following week to see how it would go. Paid maybe a bit too much attention on doing too much talking and thinking on where I was taking the blog, which resulted in no content being added.

So low and behold my Google analytics were showing a sharp decrease, come Monday I started kicking content back up. Here is the result as from this morning...

So remember people, if you want traffic to your site - CONTENT IS MOST DEFINITELY KING!

Sorry but I really don't have time to boot up Photoshop to make a nice image ;)

The two highest points are Tuesday where my #trancetuesday is really working for me. As Michael says in his recent interview with James Schramko (check it out if you have not read it yet!), Twitter is really great at driving traffic. I hear of people 'not getting it' and even disliking it. What is there 'not to get' and dislike about FREE traffic?!

Great post Stuart, your exactly right! Daily content is vital to success, just look at your top bloggers and compare them to yourself. One of the main reasons they are successful is because they keep putting out a lot of great content, day after day!

I have touched on this on day 5 email for my eCourse which I hope I can send out tomorrow.

Look at my stats from feburary, that was the main site update to a new image, and that was it. Look at the drop. Content is definetly the key.

(BTW, the stats are high as this was the day i got to the top of engadget and slashdot )

Wow, very impressive James, did you monetize the traffic at all?

If James kept updating he would of keep a high amount of readership. Keep updating is key to success!

Yes. Content is the King. When you try to increase content in blogs , you should take care of this.

Do not copy and paste from other persons blogs. It is bad and search engines also hate duplicates.

Daily read more in online and offline , then try to write contents for your blog in your hand.

Content is definitely the king, but according to me the Queen- traffic should not be left out. A good blog with good content will no doubt bring in visitors but applying SEO techniques can bring your the Queen as well. So ideally, regular postings + SEO = great blog !

conent matters

Successful bloggers have to keep their heads around many different aspects of the medium - but at it’s core is being able to write compelling and engaging content on a consistent basis over time.
crafting the blogs remains to be the massive importance!

Content without optimised keywords can't survive in the competition .
I accept that Content is king . But some important things suchas marketting also very important .

The biggest challenge for the search engines is that their algorithms should be such that they are able to index good content. Therefore if you have good content but you have not made much of an effort to optimize it search engines would pick up your content and traffic would follow at some point of time. This means to me that creating good content = creating a asset.

Therefore content is paramount as far as driving content is concerned. Optimizing the content comes in later.
